After the publication of my note “Matrix elements of irreducible unitary representations of the motion group of Lobachevsky space and the generalized Fock–Møller transformations” (DAN, vol. 118, No. 2, 1958), I learned from M. N. Olevskii that one of the main results of this note (the inversion formula connected with the associated Legendre functions) had earlier been obtained by him from different considerations under somewhat different assumptions about the transformed functions. M. N. Olevskii’s result was published in DAN, vol. 40, No. 1, 1943, and generalized in a note published in DAN, vol. 69, No. 1, 1949.

I also wish to point out that in my note “Matrix elements of irreducible unitary representations of the group of real orthogonal matrices and of the motion group of \((n-1)\)-dimensional Euclidean space” (DAN, vol. 113, No. 1, 1957), through an oversight, in the right-hand sides of formulas (4) and (9) the summation over all schemes \(\gamma\) compatible with the first row \(N\) was omitted.
