Correction

In my note (R. G. Mamedov, DAN, vol. 128, no. 3, 1959), Theorem 2 was unjustifiably applied, as an example, to Fejér’s operator. For Fejér’s operator the conditions of Theorem 2 are not satisfied. Therefore, as A. V. Efimov kindly informed me, equality (16) is incorrect. If in equality (16) (f''(x)) is replaced by (\overline{f}_n(x)), then the well-known result of M. Zamansky on the approximation of functions by Fejér sums is obtained.
