CORRECTION

In the article by V. N. Goldberg, “The formation of discontinuities in the continuation of solutions of nonlinear mixed problems for the string equation,” published in DAN, vol. 176, no. 6, 1967, the following corrections should be made:

On p. 1231, line 14 from the top, the relations
\(u \in C_2(G_T^1)\), \(u_x + u_t \in C(\bar{\Pi}_T)\)
were omitted.

On p. 1232, line 2 from the top, it is printed \(u_p \in \mathfrak{R}_T(\bar{u}^{*})\); it should read \(u_p \in \mathfrak{R}_T(\bar{u}^{*})\).
