In the article by M. M. Vainberg, “On the unconditional extremum of functionals and the convergence of minimizing sequences,” published in DAN, vol. 183, no. 6, 1968, the following correction must be made: on p. 1245, line 22, where

\(D^2 f(x; h, h) \leq \gamma(\|x\|)\|h\|^2\)

is printed, it should read

\(D^2 f(x; h, h) \geq \gamma(\|x\|)\|h\|^2\).

In my article (V. E. Voskresenskii, “On the birational equivalence of linear algebraic groups”), published in DAN, vol. 188, no. 5, 1969, on p. 979, line 4 from the top, instead of \(H^1(k, G)\) one should read \(H^1(k, \hat G)\); on p. 980, line 4 from the bottom, instead of

\[ \prod_p H^1(k_p, \pi) \]

one should read

\[ \prod_{p \in S} H^1(k_p, \pi), \qquad [S] < \infty. \]
